Optimizing a PDF File

Note: Requires Adobe Acrobat Professional.

Optimizing a PDF file can be useful to fix errors when uploading, while still ensuring that your PDF links are still present. This can make it a useful alternative to Flattening your PDF: Flattening Your PDF

To use Optimization, first open the PDF file in Adobe Acrobat and search for the "Advanced Optimization" tool. This will open a pop-up window. You should follow the images below to make sure the settings are the same:

2) Click on Ok and Acrobat will then prompt you to save the file with a different name. A new PDF file will then be generated using the selected options. You can proceed to use this PDF for uploading.
