How To Use the "Import/Export Links" Window
How do you change the separator in Excel?
What is the purpose of the "Import/Export Links" window?
To speed up the creation of your links and widgets, you may upload a CSV file with the required information to automatically create them in Zmags Enriched. This allows you to add previously exported links and widgets to your publication with ease.
What columns do I need to specify in my CSV?
The 'Page' and 'Type' columns are always required:
Page - The page number of the link. Can be given as a range of pages, e.g. 2-3.
Type - The type of the link; this should be set to External, Internal, or Product.
Depending on the type of link, other values may be required as well. For internal links you must specify the Destination Page. For product links you must specify Product Name. The fields that are used with different types of links are listed below:
- URL: The URL to open for external links.
- Target: The target window to open external links in. To open an external link in a Lightbox change Target to _ZMAGS_LIGHTBOX
- Destination Page: The destination page to navigate to for internal links.
- Product Name: The name of the product for product links.
- Product ID: The product ID of the product for product links.
- Product Description: The description of the product for product links.
- Product Price: The price of the product for product links.
- Use Product Database: TRUE tells the system to lookup the product in the product database, False uses the information defined in the above product related fields
Note: Do not use CSV files which contain a mixture of product links and other links. If you need to upload both product links and links of other types via CSV, house the product links in their own CSV file and the rest in another.
Position and size
You may also specify the position and size of the link using any of the Top, Left, Width, Height properties, or more generally using the Stretch, Horizontal Alignment, and Vertical Alignment fields. And you can specify all of the other appearance properties, such as tooltip, color, opacity, etc. All the available size and positioning properties are listed below:
- Top:The top position of the link. May be specified in the standard unit used in Enriched, or as a percentage of the page height.
- Left: The left position of the link. May be specified in the standard unit used in Enriched, or as a percentage of the page width.
- Width: The width of the link. May be specified in the standard unit used in Enriched, or as a percentage of the page width.
- Height: The height of the link. May be specified in the standard unit used in Enriched, or as a percentage of the page height.
- Stretch: May be used to stretch a link across the page, horizontally, vertically or both. The value must be one of Horizontal, Vertical, Both or None.
- Horizontal Alignment: You may use this instead of specifying a Left value. The value must be one of Left, Center, Right or None.
- Vertical Alignment: You may use this instead of specifying a Top value. The value must be one of Top, Middle, Bottom or None.
Note: You must not specify ambiguous values. For example, you cannot specify both Top and Vertical Alignment other than None.
Appearance
You may also specify the properties that control the appearance of the link:
- Opacity: Whether the link is transparent of opaque or somewhere in the middle. 100 means completely opaque, 0 means completely transparent.
- Color: HTML color code for the link, specified as e.g. #ff2222.
- Effect: You can specify the effect to use for the link, as one of: Fade InOut, Pulsating, Frame, Shadow Frame or None
- External Source: External source to show in the link instead of a solid color. Must be a Media ID (can be found in the Images section in Publicator).
Tooltips
You may specify whether to use a tooltip and any content of the tooltip using these fields:
- Tooltip Type: The type of tooltip, as one one: Text or Media
- Tooltip Text: The tooltip text to show.
- Tooltip Media Source: The media to show for the tooltip. Can be a Video or Image Media ID.
- Tooltip Media Title: The title of the tooltip media.
- Tooltip Media Description: The description of the tooltip media.
