Creating Sub Accounts

One approach to organizing publications in your Zmags Publicator Account is to create them on a number of different "sub-accounts". These are referred to in the system as "Customers".

You might, for example, have one account for your Marketing department, and one for Human Resources. Publications to be distributed to your readers would be created on the Marketing sub-account, and publications to be kept internal to the company would be created on the Human Resources sub-account.

How to Create Customer Sub-Accounts

- Log into the Zmags Publicator and click 'Administration' in the lower-left corner.
- Click 'Customers' on the left side.*
- Click "Create Customer" near the top.
- Fill in a 'Name' for the sub-account.
- Set "Max Publications" to the number of publications you would like to pass from your current account to the sub-account. (This can be adjusted later.)
- Click 'Save' at the bottom to finish the process.

* If you do not see 'Customers' under 'Administration', your user login does not have access to this functionality. Please contact your Zmags Account Manager for more information.

Creating User Logins for Sub-Accounts

Because sub-accounts are treated as almost entirely separate from your main account, you will need a separate login (username / password) to get into them.

- If not there already, log into the Publicator, click 'Administration', and then 'Customers'.
- You will see a list of all currently existing sub-accounts. In the 'Users' column, click the number of users to go to the users list.
- Click "Create User" near the top.
- Fill in the 'Name', 'Username', and 'Email'.
- Click 'Save' at the bottom to continue.
- You will be presented with a password creation link. Send this along with the username to whoever will be using this login.

Assigning Licenses to Sub-Accounts

- If not there already, log into the Publicator, click 'Administration', and then 'Customers'.
- You will see a list of all currently existing sub-accounts. In the 'Edit' column, click the pencil icon to open the settings.
- Adjust the "Max Publications" number to assign more licenses, or reduce the number of licenses (if the sub-account has some unused).
- Click 'Save' at the bottom when finished.
