HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure)
Enabling HTTPS for publications.
Zmags supports delivery of HTTPS publications that can be setup for your account using one of the 4 options below.
- Always use the HTTP protocol.
- Always use the HTTPS protocol.
- Use both HTTP and HTTPS protocols (HTTP preferred).
- Use both HTTP and HTTPS protocols (HTTPS preferred).
Choosing one of the "Always use...." options will change the URL of the publication to only use that protocol. If you try to open the old standard URL a redirect to the new URL will automatically happen.
Choosing one of the preferred options, for example “HTTPS preferred” will allow both protocols to be used, and no redirect will occur. In your account, the publishing options will only display the preferred protocol. However, the other methods can still be used.
Note: Enabling HTTPS will need to be done by reaching out to support@zmags.com
What is HTTPS?
HTTPS is a combination of the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) with SSL/TLS protocol to provide encrypted communication and secure identification of a network web server. HTTPS connections are often used for payment transactions on the World Wide Web and for sensitive transactions in corporate information systems.
